The Career-GPS wants to offer career guidance in public libraries situated in low-income townships. Your donation will be used to offer:

  • Career Guidance Workshops: Workshops and info-meetings to raise awareness about study options, in-demand jobs and scarce skills that make a difference in participants’ communities, the environment and society at large; critically analyse the challenges and opportunities in education, the labour market, society and the personal situation they are living in.
  • Individualised career coaching and mentoring. Individual meetings aimed at help participants to: set individual study/career goals; act to achieve them; learn to create career opportunities and to constructively capitalize on unexpected life events to foster career development.
  • Support groups aimed at achieving the same objectives than individual career coaching and mentoring.
  • Partnerships to break  career barriers: Establish partnerships with other organisations aimed at breaking barriers for career development such as lack of financial means or difficulties with school subjects.
